About this role

Create the Starbucks experience for Food City shoppers by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment. Support the company mission to “Run the Best Store in Town!” with efficient and courteous customer service at all times.

Take customer orders, ensure completion in a timely manner to satisfaction, and process cash register transactions using POS system. Prepare, bag, pour, and stock Starbucks products while rotating items to ensure quality and safety. Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently by adhering to recipe and presentation standards.

Maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow associates. Engage with customers, offering product information, using suggestive selling techniques, and sampling products. Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote the culture, values, and mission of both Food City and Starbucks.

Follow company food safety program and food-handling procedures while operating tools and equipment per safety guidelines. Requirements

Must be 16 years of age or older
Food Service/Coffee experience a plus, but not required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Learn how to mix a wide variety of coffee and tea products
Learn the ingredients that go into various products
Work with various Starbucks ingredients including coffees, teas, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces, and oils
Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions
Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks with constant customer interaction
