About this role
As a Barista you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional coffee experience, upholding quality standards, and creating meaningful customer interactions. Your role is integral to ensuring every cup of coffee reflects commitment to provenance, seasonality, and transparency. This high-volume, public-facing position supports the retail team in achieving operational excellence.
Prepare and serve high-quality coffee ensuring consistency in flavour, presentation, and service while following brewing recipes and techniques. Engage with customers to educate, inspire appreciation for speciality coffee, and provide personalised recommendations. Maintain a clean, organised workspace supporting seamless daily operations.
Uphold health and safety, food safety, and hygiene standards in a welcoming environment. Act as an ambassador for brand values, ethos, and sustainability while contributing to store aesthetics and retail displays. Participate in events, activations, and home enthusiast courses to deepen customer engagement.
Collaborate with the retail team to drive efficiencies, improve workflows, and enhance customer experience. Seek opportunities to develop skills through training and feedback for continuous improvement. Requirements
- Passionate about coffee, hospitality, and delivering world-class customer experiences
- Experience in a coffee or hospitality setting with understanding of coffee preparation techniques
- Experience working in a fast-paced coffee environment managing high volume tasks and interactions
- Strong communication and customer service skills to engage and educate customers
- Ability to manage workflow efficiently multitasking while maintaining quality and composure
- Collaborative and adaptable thriving in a dynamic environment
- Detail-oriented ensuring precision in coffee preparation and service
- Comfortable operating coffee equipment and troubleshooting minor technical issues
