About this role

DoubleTree by Hilton Ocean Point Resort, a Colwen Hotels property, is seeking an experienced and friendly Full Time Beach Server/Barista. In this position you will split your time between the Barista and Beach Server position. You will provide memorable experiences for our guests and need to be quick on your feet with a positive upbeat attitude.

Acknowledge and welcome each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting, using guest name whenever possible. Take orders from guests, answer questions regarding the menu, and maintain knowledge of all menu items. Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and ensure items are prepared correctly to guest satisfaction.

Collect plates, clear tables as guests finish, and prepare guest checks for payment. Adhere to all Colwen and brand standards for food and beverage service, including state liquor policies. Clean designated areas, stock sideboards, and set tables to standards.

Assist with restaurant tasks like cleaning dining areas and preparing silverware. Perform other related duties as assigned, potentially in multiple departments during a shift. Join a team valuing quick, efficient service in a beach resort environment.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to solve problems
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale system
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Ability to maintain personal hygiene
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous experience as a server preferred

Responsibilities

  • Take orders from guests and deliver to appropriate person to execute
  • Answer questions regarding the menu and maintain knowledge of all menu items and composition
  • Deliver food, beverages, condiments and other requested items
  • Ensure that food is prepared correctly and to the guest’s satisfaction; return incorrect items to the kitchen
  • Collect plates and clear table as guests finish their meal
  • Prepare guest checks and collect payment
  • Clean designated areas, stock sideboards, and set tables to standards
