Oversee opening and closing procedures while monitoring food preparation and presentation to uphold quality standards. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations daily. Manage inventory by ordering supplies and liaising with suppliers for timely deliveries.

Recruit, train, and supervise café staff, creating schedules and conducting performance reviews with ongoing coaching. Deliver excellent customer service, handle complaints professionally, and foster a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Work in a fast-paced environment that includes weekends and holidays.

Monitor sales, costs, and profitability while managing budgets, controlling expenses, and reconciling daily takings. Support promotional activities, seasonal campaigns, maintain social media presence, and engage the local community. Lead operational excellence to enhance café performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in café or hospitality management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems efficiently
  • Basic financial and budgeting skills
  • Proficiency in POS systems and inventory management software
  • Full clean driver's licence
