About this role

Our Coffee Shop Baristas create a unique experience for guests through excellent service and expertly-crafted beverage and food products. They contribute to a team-oriented, high-performance culture emphasizing involvement, efficiency, and a positive working environment. This role acts as a Hualapai ambassador in the best interests of the Hualapai Tribe at all times.

Baristas deliver outstanding guest service every time and become proficient in crafting beverages and food by following recipes for quality and consistency. They ensure proper health, safety, and sanitation processes are followed for guests and team members. Guest-related issues are resolved promptly with tactfulness and respect.

Baristas contribute to a team environment, assisting coworkers with difficult guests, both internal and external. All communications are shared timely and accurately with team members. They keep the Barista Supervisor and Manager apprised of all issues and concerns.

The role demands adaptability, quick learning, and building professional relationships with guests and team members. Excellent verbal communication and multi-tasking under pressure support a positive workplace. Preference is given to Hualapai Tribal members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required, or in lieu pass brief exam on basic math
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly
  • Ability to build professional interpersonal relationships with guests and team members
  • Ability to follow instructions and ensure quality and consistency of products
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently and maintain positive working relationships
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
  • Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members
