About this role

The Coffee Shop Barista prepares and serves high-quality beverages and food while providing exceptional customer service. This role is essential to creating a welcoming and efficient environment for customers and supporting overall coffee shop operations.

On a typical day, you will craft coffee and espresso drinks according to company recipes, prepare pastries and sandwiches, and operate the POS system. You will maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and dining areas while monitoring inventory and reporting shortages.

You will work in a fast-paced environment alongside a supportive team, and you may be cross-trained to assist with convenience store operations. This includes helping customers with purchases, stocking shelves, and maintaining store cleanliness.

  • Willing and able to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
  • Must have a phone and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares coffee, espresso, and other beverages according to company recipes and quality standards.
  • Prepares and serves food items including pastries, sandwiches, and snacks.
  • Provides friendly, efficient, and attentive customer service at the counter, drive-thru, or café area.
  • Operates POS system, handles cash, and processes transactions accurately.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of workstations, dining areas, and equipment.
  • Monitors inventory of ingredients and supplies and reports shortages or equipment issues to supervisor.
  • Assists with opening, closing, and shift transition procedures as directed.
  • Supports convenience store operations by operating POS for store transactions, stocking shelves, and maintaining cleanliness.
