About this role

The Lead Barista position at Rivers Casino involves managing the Starbucks outlet to provide superior guest service in a prompt and professional manner. You will build relationships with guests while maintaining high standards for beverage quality and presentation.

During shifts, you execute outlet operations including opening and closing duties, follow Starbucks recipes precisely, and ensure sufficient materials are available. You maintain sanitation standards and adhere to all Board of Health regulations while responding to customer needs.

You work closely with the Food and Beverage team and other departments to ensure proper communication and staffing levels. The role includes training new team members, providing coaching, and enforcing company policies consistently across shifts.

This position offers opportunities to attend management training sessions and seminars while setting high standards for the team. You will discover and respond to customer needs and communicate casino promotions effectively to all team members.

Requirements

  • Two (2) to three (3) years in Food and Beverage operations, preferably in a gaming/hospitality environment
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, hours, and days of the week, including holidays and weekends
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing
  • Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 40lbs
  • Must be able to use a computer and fluent in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to uphold demeanor and remain a positive role model in stressful situations
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Responsibilities

  • Serve guests promptly and professionally while building relationships for superior service
  • Ensure proper staffing for forecasted volume and budgetary guidelines
  • Follow Starbucks operational procedures regarding quality beverages, whole beans, and food products
  • Maintain high sanitation standards and ensure all Board of Health regulations are adhered to
  • Assist with new team member training by reinforcing successful performance and providing coaching
  • Execute outlet operations during scheduled shifts and organize opening and closing duties
  • Maintain sufficient materials and products in the work location
