Ensure service standards are met and surpassed by providing customers with prompt, quality coffee selection, purchase, and preparation. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Monitor total department conditions and follow through to maintain standards.

Prepare a variety of customer beverage orders such as espresso drinks and Coffee of the Day. Assist customers in the selection and purchase of specialty coffee beverages and whole bean sales. Maintain customer service area and equipment in a clean and appealing manner.

Assist in supervision and direction of department personnel to ensure quality customer service. Delegate job assignments and responsibilities to associates in accordance with duty rosters. Write department schedules, coordinating requests and bids with business needs.

Work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment. Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner. Present oneself professionally with clear communication in all customer and partner interactions.

Requirements

Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed
Effective written and oral communication skills
Trained and certified barista
Able to calmly, courteously, and tactfully handle stressful situations
Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment
Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
Past work record reflects dependability and integrity

Responsibilities

Increase sales through effective marketing and merchandising of products in the Department
Assist in supervision and direction of department personnel to ensure quality customer service
Delegate job assignments and responsibilities to associates in accordance with duty rosters
Order and maintain stock and supplies, monitoring conditions and appearance throughout the department
Monitor code dates and product rotation, removing out of code product
Write department schedules, coordinating requests and bids and business needs
Prepare a variety of customer beverage orders such as espresso drinks and Coffee of the Day
Execute and adhere to all Starbucks programs, policies and promotions
