About this role

As a Barista at Starbucks within The Cosmopolitan, you provide fast and friendly service in a high-volume café environment. You engage with guests and anticipate their needs to deliver efficient and welcoming interactions that meet Starbucks quality standards.

You take orders and serve food and drinks accurately while following proper cash handling procedures. You maintain cleanliness in the front and back of house, stock products, and perform opening and closing duties as assigned.

You work in an exciting and entertaining atmosphere at MGM Resorts, collaborating with a diverse team. The role involves handling high-volume service while ensuring guest satisfaction in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required
Must be 21 years of age or older
One year of experience as a food handler in a similar, high-volume, fast paced restaurant preferred
Previous experience as a Barista in Starbucks or a similar cafe environment preferred

Responsibilities

Take and place orders, serving and garnishing food and drinks efficiently and accurately
Collect money while following all proper cash handling and comp procedures
Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the front and back of house
Pack and complete orders as per guests' preference with any necessary condiments
Properly label and date products per safety and sanitation procedures
Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
Unload warehouse orders and stock products while maintaining organization
Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority
