W Costa Navarino is an adults-only resort in Messinia offering 226 stylish rooms and villas with infinity pools overlooking the Ionian Sea. The property features The Watersports Center, Away Spa, and the new Navarino Agora marketplace with retail and street food.

The Barista / Bartender organizes and oversees daily bar operations while preparing for operational needs. This role requires thorough knowledge of coffee recipes, coffee machine functions, and classic and signature cocktail recipes.

Team members work in a high-volume environment across multiple bar sections with 20 fine dining venues and extensive guest facilities. The position demands creativity, accurate service, and consistent adherence to brand standards in every guest interaction.

Associates receive ongoing training and development opportunities with potential for task force assignments abroad in Marriott hotels. The role provides exposure to an international work environment and access to Costa Navarino facilities.

Requirements

Two years of service experience in a 5-star hotel preferred
High school diploma
Strong knowledge of bar recipes and equipment
Fluent in English
Effective selling and upselling abilities
Proficient in MICROS and POS systems
Knowledge of health and safety protocols, brand standards, and company procedures

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests in a courteous manner, take orders and serve with accuracy while demonstrating upselling techniques.
Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages and have basic knowledge of classic and signature cocktail recipes.
Organize and prepare the mise en place at all bar sections in a timely manner and according to brand standards.
Check daily the stock retail products and refill stations according to operational needs.
Work under pressure and high volume operation effectively and seamlessly.
Ensure all equipment is clean and properly functioning as well as ensure the cleanliness of the BOH.
Follow all SOPs to ensure operational excellence and ensure brand standards are followed at all times.
Attend all trainings and seminars provided by the company and continuously remain updated for all trends and market news.
