About this role
Industry Beans is an award-winning specialty coffee roaster, café operator and retail brand, seeking an experienced Senior Barista to lead the team at our Chadstone venue. The right person will be passionate with a strong work ethic and the ability to work closely with the Head Barista to deliver the ultimate customer experience.
Day-to-day, you will manage the coffee program including liaising with the Industry Beans roastery, implement recipes, and maintain service standards and communication. You will also lead the team during shifts, organize breaks, approve timesheets, and manage retail offerings to ensure visual merchandising is kept at a high standard.
You will be supported by an experienced senior management team and Roasting team, working with a leading specialty coffee roaster with an innovative approach to coffee and food. Our goal is to deliver a market-leading hospitality experience across coffee, food, retail and beverage.

Requirements
- Customer-focused approach to specialty coffee
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Senior Barista in specialty coffee
- Strong experience developing and managing a team to deliver high-quality, consistent specialty coffee
- Experience working on a variety of different machines and different brewing styles
- Strong understanding of extraction profiling and implementing recipes
- Excellent latte art and the ability to train others
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Clear and effective communication
Responsibilities
- Work with the Head Barista to develop, train and manage a team of passionate baristas
- Manage the coffee program including liaising with the Industry Beans roastery
- Implement recipes, maintain service standards and communication
- Manage retail offerings and ensure visual merchandising is maintained at a high standard
- Deliver an outstanding hospitality experience with both barista craftsmanship and customer engagement
- Lead the team during shifts, organizing breaks, approving timesheets
