About this role

This role prepares and serves high-quality beverages and food while providing exceptional customer service. The Barista is essential to creating a welcoming and efficient environment for customers and supporting the overall operations of the coffee shop.

Day-to-day tasks include preparing coffee, espresso, and other beverages according to company recipes, as well as serving food items like pastries, sandwiches, and snacks. The Barista operates the POS system, handles cash, and maintains cleanliness and organization of workstations and dining areas.

The Barista works closely with a team to ensure a smooth shift, assisting with opening, closing, and shift transitions as directed. This role is also cross-trained to support convenience store operations, including retail transactions, stocking shelves, and maintaining product displays.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math and computer skills for POS operations.
  • Professional, positive attitude and ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Willing and able to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
  • Must have a phone and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares coffee, espresso, and other beverages according to company recipes and quality standards.
  • Prepares and serves food items, including pastries, sandwiches, and snacks.
  • Provides friendly, efficient, and attentive customer service at the counter, drive-thru, or café area.
  • Operates POS system, handles cash, and processes transactions accurately.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of workstations, dining areas, and equipment.
  • Monitors inventory of ingredients and supplies and reports shortages or equipment issues to supervisor.
  • Support convenience store operations as needed, including operating POS for store transactions and stocking shelves.
  • Assists with opening, closing, and shift transition procedures as directed.
