About this role
The evo Campus in Salt Lake City's Granary neighborhood is a 100,000 square foot brick, timber, and concrete building housing a 52-room hotel, evo retail store, and skatepark. Its vision is to create a community space for ethos-driven businesses and outdoor enthusiasts.
As a Barista, you will properly prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages, along with pre-made food items to patrons and hotel guests. You will respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely, professional manner, working to resolve conflicts and ensure satisfaction.
You will maintain an adequate stock of clean glassware, dishes, and flatware, and keep dining areas organized by bussing tables and emptying trash. Following specified procedures for opening and closing the bar, handling cash, and completing inventory are key responsibilities.

Requirements
- Ability to prepare espresso-based beverages and other coffee and tea drinks.
- Experience handling cash and operating a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Knowledge of coffee and tea varieties and proper brewing methods.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in a food service environment.
- Strong attention to detail for inventory management and side work.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Responsibilities
- Properly prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages and pre-made food items as ordered by patrons and hotel guests.
- Respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner, working to resolve conflicts and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain an adequate stock of clean glassware, dishes, flatware, and supplies in accordance with established pars.
- Follow specified procedures to control payment of guest checks and correctly handle cash, including ringing all drinks through the POS and processing credit card vouchers.
- Complete inventory of stock at the close of each shift and review previous shift’s inventory at the beginning of every shift.
- Use suggestive selling techniques to promote the sale of food and beverages.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including bussing tables and emptying trash as needed.
- Follow all company safety standards and immediately report suspicious occurrences or hazardous conditions.
