About this role

Our Barista will be responsible for executing the Starbucks Experience for Bashas' customers by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. This role is ideal for a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and deliver excellent customer service.

Day-to-day responsibilities include providing quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. You will operate a register, accurately handle cash and credit/debit payments, and assist customers by providing information and resolving any complaints.

You will work in a fun, community-focused environment where you have the opportunity to nourish your community. The team follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products, and you will assist with stocking shelves, facing, cleaning, and dusting as needed.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age (21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol)
Responsible and friendly demeanor
Ability to safely work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Ability to stand, sit, lift and stock up to 50 lbs, push, keyboard, use telephone, walk, and bend for extended periods

Responsibilities

Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of both Bashas’ and Starbucks
Operate a register and accurately handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change
Assist all customers by providing information and resolving any complaints
Assist with stocking shelves, facing, cleaning and dusting as needed
Maintain Safety and Sanitation standards throughout the store
Perform all other related duties as assigned
