About this role
As a Starbucks Lead Barista at Kroger, you will ensure service standards are met and surpassed by providing customers with prompt, quality coffee selection, purchase, and preparation. You will monitor total department conditions and follow through to maintain standards while demonstrating the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Your day-to-day involves increasing sales through effective marketing and merchandising of products in the department. You will assist in supervision and direction of department personnel to ensure quality customer service, delegate job assignments, and hold associates accountable for their responsibilities.
You will order and maintain stock and supplies, monitor code dates and product rotation, and remove out-of-code product. You will also prepare a variety of customer beverage orders such as espresso drinks and Coffee of the Day, and execute all Starbucks programs, policies, and promotions.
This role offers the opportunity to grow within a dynamic grocery environment, working alongside a team dedicated to customer first behavior. You will develop leadership skills by writing department schedules, coordinating requests, and ensuring a clean, appealing customer service area.
Requirements
- Must be a trained and certified barista.
- Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Able to calmly, courteously, and tactfully handle stressful situations and make a positive impression on associates and customers.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
- Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Past work record reflects dependability and integrity.
Responsibilities

- Execute and adhere to all Starbucks programs, policies, and promotions (e.g., Customer Voice, Siren’s Eye).
- Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with cleaning standards and work as a store team player.
