About this role
As a Barista Supervisor at KJ's Market, you will oversee daily operations to ensure our service, store standards, and merchandising programs are consistently met. You will lead a team dedicated to providing guests with prompt, friendly service and fresh roasted coffee, quality beverages, and products in a clean atmosphere.
Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising staff to deliver engaging guest service through product demonstrations and samples using brewing and roasting equipment. You will also manage inventory levels, perform product preparation, receiving, stocking, and rotation, and maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the department.
You will work closely with store management and merchandisers to achieve budgeted sales and profit goals while maintaining daily, weekly, and period financial reports. The role involves providing guidance, orientation, training, and performance feedback to ensure hosts are properly trained in product preparation and guest engagement meets our service standards.
This position offers the opportunity to develop leadership skills in a specialty coffee environment within a supportive grocery retail setting. You will gain experience in department management, including labor budgeting and scheduling, while contributing to a team that values quality and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities
- Ensure guests receive friendly, engaging service from staff by providing guest demonstrations and samples using brewing and roasting equipment.
- Achieve budgeted sales and profit; maintain daily, weekly, and period financial reports.
- Operate the department in accordance with merchandising and operational guidelines, including proper inventory levels of product and supplies.
- Provide guidance, orientation, training, and performance feedback to ensure hosts are properly trained in product preparation and guest engagement.
- Perform product preparation, receiving, stocking, rotating, and guest service to achieve standards.
- Perform cleaning tasks and sanitation, and maintain safety throughout the department in accordance with Lowes’ Foods standards.
- Maintain the department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
- Ensure PA announcements are performed on schedule.
