Join Advocate Aurora Health as a Barista at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Schaumburg, Illinois. This per diem, part-time role offers flexible scheduling to cover multiple shifts, with preferred hours from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
As a Barista, you will prepare and serve coffee, espresso, and specialty beverages to patients, visitors, and hospital staff. You will operate the cash register, handle transactions, and maintain a clean and organized work area in the hospital's Food and Nutrition department.
This role requires open availability to adapt to varying shift needs, including evenings and weekends. You will work alongside a supportive team in a fast-paced healthcare environment, ensuring every customer receives prompt and friendly service.
While this position does not offer benefits eligibility, it provides an opportunity to gain experience in a hospital setting and contribute to the well-being of the community. The pay rate is $18 per hour.
Requirements
- Previous barista or food service experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
- Basic knowledge of coffee brewing and espresso machine operation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
