As a Coffee Shop Barista at Hy-Vee, you will be responsible for reviewing and filling customer orders, handling food safely, and ensuring the work area is always clean and neat. This role focuses on providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to both customers and team members.

Responsibilities

Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
Takes customer orders at the counter and answers the telephone promptly with helpful service
Handles food in a safe manner and ensures the work area is always clean and neat
Reviews the status and appearance of the food for freshness and ensures an adequate food supply is ready and on hand
Runs the department registers, receives payment, and makes change where applicable
Prepares and replenishes product as necessary, checks in product, and may review invoices
Removes trash in a timely manner and maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines
Washes dishes as necessary and orders product and supplies as needed
