Baristas make and serve beverages using varied brewing methods and prepare delicious food items. They stay knowledgeable about current offerings through tastings, cuppings, and trainings while regularly tasting products to ensure quality and develop their palate. Daily tasks include cleaning, organizing stations, and supporting smooth cafe operations.

The position requires delivering exceptional hospitality to guests, teammates, vendors, and suppliers. Baristas create community by sharing coffee knowledge and joy with guests while inspiring teammates. They uphold health, food safety, and safety guidelines to maintain a respectful working environment.

Requirements

Passionate about coffee, food, and creating inclusive hospitality experiences
Reliable and consistent with punctuality and strong performance
Thoughtful and able to anticipate guest needs
Obsessed with details and committed to honing craft
Excited to take on new experiences with a can-do attitude
Eligible to work in the United States and 18 years of age or older
Food Handler’s Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days post-hire
Flexible schedule available for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional hospitality to guests, teammates, vendors, and suppliers
Make and serve beverages using a variety of brewing and preparation methods
Prepare and serve delicious food items
Stay knowledgeable about beverage and food offerings through tastings, cuppings, and trainings
Taste Blue Bottle beverages regularly to ensure quality and develop palate
Create community by sharing coffee knowledge and joy with guests
Support cafe operations through cleaning, dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, and organizing stations
Uphold all health, food safety, and safety guidelines
