Paradies Lagardère is an award-winning and innovative Airport Concessionaire seeking passionate individuals to join our team. As a Barista at Sheldrake Coffee in Long Beach Airport, you will create and deliver first-class experiences for the traveling public.

Your day-to-day involves warmly greeting guests, operating coffee making equipment, and accurately processing payments using the point-of-sale system. You will handle cash and credit transactions while following our Cash Handling and Loss Prevention procedures.

You will work in a diverse and inclusive retail and dining environment within our award-winning concepts that keep travelers coming back year after year. Whether in an on-trend national brand or an iconic local concept, you will make meaningful connections with guests.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate coffee making equipment and perform basic cleaning and maintenance
  • Comfort with handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately
  • Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee and food products
  • Ability to make recommendations to guests based on their needs
  • Willingness to follow company cash handling and loss prevention procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced airport retail and dining environment

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and acknowledge guests upon entering the concept
  • Operate coffee making equipment, dismantling and cleaning machinery when needed
  • Accurately total, process, and collect payments from guests using the point-of-sale system
  • Handle money, process credit and debit cards, and make change while complying with Cash Handling and Loss Prevention Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintain knowledge of the restaurant's menu and products, making recommendations to guests and addressing questions about potential food allergens
  • Create and deliver first-class experiences for the traveling public in an on-trend national brand or iconic local concept
