About this role

Renaissance Framingham Hotel & Conference Center is seeking an engaging and friendly Part-Time Coffee Bar Attendant/Barista to join the team. Primary responsibilities include handling setup and breakdown of the service area, maintaining the dining area, ensuring product availability, preparing Starbucks coffee, and delivering exceptional guest service.

Prep food and beverage offerings and set up the food service area each shift. Acknowledge and welcome each guest with a smile, eye contact, and friendly greeting, using guest name whenever possible. Answer questions regarding the menu while maintaining knowledge of all food items.

Adhere to food safety regulations including correct time and temperature control and HACCP guidelines. Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to guests. Collect plates, clear tables as guests finish, and maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining area, and guest areas during shift.

Ensure sideboards are adequately stocked, set tables to standards, and follow proper setup and closing procedures. Maintain knowledge of guest rooms, amenities, features, and services offered at the hotel. Adhere to Colwen and brand standards for food and beverage service and state liquor policies.

Requirements

  • Previous Food & Beverage experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to solve problems
  • Basic understanding of or ability to learn sanitation and regulations for workplace safety
  • Basic understanding of or ability to learn food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Willingness to work rotational schedule including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
