About this role

This Barista role sells coffee and gelato items by providing remarkable customer service. The position maintains quality standards and product levels at the Café while preparing espresso drinks, serving baked goods, and sampling gelato.

Daily duties include receiving and stocking product, cashiering for purchases, and ensuring the Café is cleaned and sanitized to company standards. The Barista also samples and serves gelato, delivering excellent customer service to all.

The Barista has consistent daily interaction with store associates and customers. Work is performed in a safe store environment with frequent exposure to hot, cold, and wet conditions, and the role requires grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, twisting, crouching, and reaching.

This role offers the opportunity to assist in the success of the Bakery as a whole. Ideal candidates possess a passion for preparing and enjoying coffee and gelato products, and strive to be product minded, customer minded, and forward focused.

Requirements

Current Food Handler's Permit.
Must enjoy working with and handling coffee and gelato items.
Passion for preparing, eating, and drinking coffee and gelato products.
Basic math skills for making change.
Ability to interpret policies and procedures.
Excellent organization and planning skills.
Solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills.
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Ensure the quality and freshness of all products and services the Café provides.
Maintain appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the Café.
Deliver excellent customer service to all customers.
Prepare coffee and espresso drinks.
Sample and serve gelato.
Serve baked goods and receive/stock product for the Café.
Cashier for products purchased at the Café.
Assist as needed to ensure the success of the Bakery as a whole.
