About this role

We're seeking a confident Barista to serve coffee daily to 200 staff members and external customers in a head office setting. This Monday to Friday position operates during regular office hours with a focus on quality beverage service.

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks using the correct methods and equipment to maintain our standards. Share menu stories, provide recommendations, and follow allergen procedures while using till systems for orders and payments.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee bar according to cleaning schedules and COSHH standards. Follow all health, safety, and food safety guidelines while monitoring stock levels and restocking supplies as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Barista with ability to create basic latte art such as hearts
  • Friendly, outgoing personality; a people person
  • Great work ethic and an even greater smile
  • Passion for delivering outstanding customer service
  • Have a contagious passion for coffee, tea and customer service
  • Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution-oriented perspective
  • Some knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Works according to the BaxterStorey core values

Responsibilities

  • Delight customers by greeting them in a friendly and professional manner
  • Efficiently prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks using the correct methods and equipment
  • Share the story of our menu and provide recommendations while following allergen procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee bar in line with cleaning schedules and COSHH standards
  • Follow all health and safety and food safety guidelines and procedures
  • Monitor stock levels and restock supplies as needed
  • Use till systems for taking payments and customer orders
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer issues or complaints
