About this role

The Barista/Cashier is responsible for making quality beverages, generally specialty coffee and hot beverages, preparing food orders, working the POS, and maintaining the store presentable to guests by cleaning and restocking. All tasks must be done quickly and efficiently while providing excellent customer service to our Paul guests.

Day-to-day duties include preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages while maintaining brand and quality standards, as well as preparing food orders for guests. You will properly handle and maintain all equipment, respond to orders, questions, concerns, and customer complaints in a professional manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • Previous experience in retail, hospitality, and/or customer service preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work across functional groups positively and collaboratively
  • Ability to handle large work volumes requiring high accuracy and be highly organized
  • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to set and handle multiple priorities, adapt to changing situations quickly, and follow instructions and schedules
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages while maintaining brand and quality standards
  • Prepare food orders for guests
  • Properly handle and maintain all equipment
  • Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and customer complaints in a professional and efficient manner
  • Maintain brand standards and customer service
  • Provide guests with support to navigate questions and understand menu offerings
  • Observe and practice relevant health and safety standards
  • Clean and maintain coffee equipment in accordance with manufacturer standards
