About this role

We're looking for a Barista to join our team at BaxterStorey. On a daily basis you'll be serving coffee to staff members within the location and also support with food service in our restaurant. We're looking for a confident Barista who's got experience — not necessarily an expert in latte art, but the skill to produce great coffee is a must.

You'll delight our customers by greeting them in a friendly and professional manner, efficiently preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks using correct methods and equipment. You'll share the story of our menu, provide recommendations, and be aware of allergen procedures.

You'll need to be a team player, great with customers, organised and efficient with great timing and a can-do attitude. The pride in your workspace means maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the coffee bar and surrounding areas in line with cleaning schedules and COSHH standards.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality; a people person
Great work ethic and an even greater smile
Good listening and verbal communication skills
Passion for delivering outstanding customer service
Contagious passion for coffee, tea and customer service
Ability to adapt to challenges with a solution-oriented perspective
Some knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Previous experience in a similar role, especially in food service, is often a plus

Responsibilities

Delight our customers by greeting them in a friendly and professional manner
Efficiently prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks using correct methods, equipment and to our standards
Share the story of our menu, provide recommendations to customers and be aware of allergen procedures
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee bar and surrounding areas in line with cleaning schedules, company and COSHH standards
Follow all health and safety and food safety guidelines and procedures
Monitor stock levels and restock supplies as needed
Use till systems for taking payments and customer orders
Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer issues or complaints
