About this role
The SpitJack Limerick is seeking an experienced Barista with a passion for hospitality to join our award-winning team. This hands-on operations role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and take pride in crafting high-quality beverages.
Day-to-day, you will prepare and serve all drinks to the highest standard, ensuring consistency and customer satisfaction. You will maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked barista and bar area while handling cash and transactions using the POS system.
You will work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service in our award-winning rotisserie brasserie, located in the heart of Limerick on Bedford Row. We are famous for incredible Irish produce, creative dishes, and unforgettable service.

Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Bartender or Barista in a busy restaurant
- Passion for hospitality with a warm, friendly, and efficient service style
- Fluent English (a second language is a plus)
- Attention to detail and high standards in drink preparation and customer service
- Knowledge of licensing laws and Customs & Excise Regulations
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
- Confidence in working independently and as part of a successful team
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling
- Full permission or a valid visa to work in the EU
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve beverages to the highest standard, ensuring consistency and customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the barista and bar area, keeping it organised and fully stocked
- Know your beverages — be knowledgeable about coffee, cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits to provide expert recommendations
- Requisition, organise, and set up stock for daily operations
- Adhere to licensing laws, Customs & Excise Regulations, health & safety, hygiene, and fire regulations
- Operate the cash register following company procedures and handle cash transactions
- Ensure all glasses and bar tools are cleaned and in top condition
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service
