Convene Hospitality Group operates a global portfolio of lifestyle brands focused on creating places and experiences that bring people together. We are seeking a Part-Time Barista to join our Cafe team at the 311 West Monroe property, reporting to the Cafe Supervisor and General Manager.

Your day-to-day involves providing genuine anticipatory service to clients, greeting them with enthusiasm, and ensuring they have a great experience. You will set up, replenish, and break down Food and Beverage stations, accommodate special requests, and maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of Barista experience
Basic knowledge of food and beverage
Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven good organizational skills
Must be highly motivated and ready to lead other team members
Proficient in multi-tasking
Food Hygiene or Food Handling Certificate preferred
Ability to move, carry, push, pull and place objects up to 25 pounds without assistance

Responsibilities

Greet all clients with enthusiasm and friendliness
Provide world-class service in accordance with Brand Standards
Set up, replenish, maintain, and break down Food and Beverage stations
Accommodate special client needs and last-minute requests
Follow all Company drink recipes and procedures, including proficiently preparing blended and cold drinks
Accurately ring sales orders into cash register and count back change in a courteous manner
Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing duties in accordance with company standards
Maintain safe, clean, organized, and well-stocked work areas with constant sanitation and proper food handling
