About this role
Fooda pioneered the concept of rotating popup restaurants inside offices, feeding hungry people at work through a platform of food programs. We are now hiring a Barista in our Boston market to build relationships with customers by maintaining a positive cafe environment.
Your day starts at 6:30 AM, preparing the space and serving coffee and espresso beverages. You'll go out of your way to provide a high level of customer service while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, with strong communication skills and a self-starter attitude.
You'll be part of a team that brings local restaurant culture inside offices across 45 cities. Powered by technology and a network of over 2,500 restaurants, Fooda serves more than 120 million meals and continues to grow rapidly in workplaces, hospitals, and schools.

Requirements
- Comfortable with customers and enjoy customer service
- Friendly, high energy, and comfortable interacting with other people
- Comfortable handling cash and providing accurate change
- Comfortable with technology and running a POS system
- Prior food service and cashier experience preferred
- Self-starter with strong communication skills
- Ability to work early morning shifts starting at 6:30 AM
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with customers by maintaining a positive cafe environment
- Go out of your way to provide a high level of customer service
- Prepare and serve coffee and espresso beverages
- Maintain cleanliness of the space and clean dishes
- Know and maintain the Fooda Standards of Service and Sanitation on a daily basis
- Escalate issues to the Director when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve
- Operate the POS system and handle cash transactions accurately
