As Assistant Coffee Shop Manager, assist the Department Manager in presenting the freshest, most innovative, and best quality products at competitive retail prices. Always maintain a positive company image through courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members.

Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all interactions. Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner, learn their names, and assist by escorting to products, securing out-of-reach items, or loading heavy items. Answer the telephone promptly, take orders at the counter, and enhance the shopping experience in every way possible.

Handle food safely, ensure the work area is always clean and neat, and review the status and appearance of food for freshness. Anticipate product needs daily, prepare and replenish as necessary, check in product, and run department registers. Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.

Accountable to District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers, Food Service Director, and Coffee Shop Department Manager. Supervise Coffee Shop Baristas while demonstrating core competencies of partnerships, growth mindset, results oriented, customer focused, and professionalism. Adhere to company policies, personal hygiene, and dress guidelines for consistent operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience
  • Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner and makes an effort to learn customers’ names
  • Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading heavy items, and passing along suggestions
  • Takes customer orders at the counter and answers the telephone promptly including taking product orders
  • Handles food in a safe manner, ensures work area is clean, and reviews food for freshness
  • Anticipates product needs, prepares and replenishes product, checks in product, and runs department registers
  • Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and maintains strict adherence to guidelines
  • Supervises Coffee Shop Baristas and removes trash in a timely manner
