At Hy-Vee, the Assistant Coffee Shop Manager assists the Department Manager with presenting the freshest, most innovative, and best quality products at competitive retail prices. Always maintains a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members. Promises a helpful smile in every aisle from a fully engaged workforce.

Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all interactions. Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, learns their names, and assists by escorting to products, securing out-of-reach items, or loading heavy items. Takes orders at the counter and answers the telephone promptly for helpful service.

Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment. Handles food safely, keeps the work area clean and neat, and reviews product freshness. Supervises Coffee Shop Baristas while reporting to District Store Director, Store Manager, and Coffee Shop Department Manager.

Demonstrates core competencies including partnerships, growth mindset, results oriented, customer focused, and professionalism. Anticipates daily product needs, prepares and replenishes as necessary, and adheres to hygiene, dress, and company policies. Ensures adequate food supply and maintains efficient operations.
