Order and maintain inventory using control procedures to ensure product freshness and quality. Review and validate received orders for amount, quality, count, weight, and condition, storing products appropriately. Manage team tasks for stocking, production, accuracy, date-sensitive rotation, and handling spoiled or damaged products per guidelines.

Maintain familiarity with all products in the department and store, including advertised items, special prices, coupon deals, and sales rewards programs. Assure weekly and period Flight Plan is communicated and executed to company expectations. Follow policies using tools and software for scheduling according to forecasted guidelines.

Implement work schedules, labor control, overtime, and payroll expense management. Model Our Winning Recipe, core values, and competencies while handling department staffing, training, performance management, and career development. Develop and monitor department goals and forecasts, attending daily huddles and manager meetings.

Requirements

  • Experience leading retail department operations and associate teams
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures for product freshness and quality
  • Proficiency in reviewing and validating orders for quality and condition
  • Ability to manage stocking, production, and rotation in food retail environment
  • Familiarity with retail products, promotions, and sales programs
  • Skills in scheduling, labor control, and payroll management using retail software
  • Competency in performance management and associate training
  • Understanding of retail forecasting and goal setting
