About this role

The Coffee Shop Manager plans, organizes, directs and coordinates resources of the coffee shop for efficient, well-prepared, and profitable service of food and beverages. Provide a professional, friendly and efficient high quality service to customers. Consistently maintain quality food service and sales, meet health code requirements.

Monitor staff performance to maintain clean food preparation areas, equipment, counters and tables. Oversee food and beverage preparation methods, portion sizes, garnishing and presentation. Conduct inventories, maintain supplies, schedule and receive deliveries verifying quality and quantity.

Supervise staff during shifts, handle hiring, discipline and scheduling. Demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward guests, owners and team members. Serve as point of contact for guest inquiries, resolving them successfully.

Work with management to plan marketing, advertising and special functions. Develop procedures for outstanding service within budgetary requirements. Join a family-oriented team at Spectrum Resorts that values teamwork and support.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years work experience managing restaurants in a Breakfast/Barista setting
  • Above average computer skills including Microsoft Office and POS systems
  • Excellent customer service and hospitality skills
  • Knowledge of budgeting, ordering and inventory
  • Knowledge of governmental regulations including health department and OSHA requirements
  • ServSafe Certification or ability to become ServSafe certified
  • Knowledge of specialty coffees, roasting coffee beans and merchandising products
  • Ability to work at 6 a.m. and 5-6 days as volume dictates
