The Head Barista / Bartender prepares and serves high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, cocktails, and drinks with consistency and exceptional presentation. Delivers warm, professional, personalized service while maintaining bar and café areas to highest cleanliness standards.

Daily tasks include welcoming guests warmly, engaging to understand preferences, and providing personalized beverage recommendations. Present beverage offerings knowledgeably, handle POS transactions accurately, monitor and restock inventory, and collaborate with the hotel team for smooth service flow. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards during peak periods.

Actively promote signature offerings, seasonal specials, and new menu items to enhance guest experience. Respond promptly to special requests for customized beverages, ensuring high satisfaction. Assist with setup, preparation, and breakdown of bar and café areas each shift.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Barista or Bartender in a 5-star hotel or luxury hospitality environment
  • Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and cocktail service; relevant certifications an advantage
  • Excellent command of the English language; knowledge of additional languages an asset
  • Experience with MICROS or other POS systems preferred
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field an asset
  • Genuine passion for delivering consistently exceptional guest service
  • Pleasant, professional, and customer-oriented personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, cocktails, and other drinks, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and exceptional presentation
  • Welcome guests warmly and engage professionally to understand preferences and provide personalized beverage recommendations
  • Present and describe beverage offerings and menu items in an engaging, knowledgeable, and confident manner
  • Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and organization in bar and café areas, including equipment and workstations
  • Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately through the hotel’s POS system
  • Monitor, restock, and manage bar and café inventory, ensuring adequate supply levels and proper storage
  • Collaborate with the hotel team to ensure smooth service flow and timely beverage delivery
  • Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
