We're looking for teammates to build your career in 'For Students, By Students' cafes on college campuses. The New Market Cafe Manager is pivotal in building community on a new campus.

The New Market Leader operates the café through mastery of Three Pillars: Team Development, Community Leadership, and Financial Management. They own full responsibility for the cafe’s Profit and Loss statements, build brand awareness, and cultivate partnerships. Support extends from recruiting and training through team tenure.

Lead shadow shifts, in-classroom training, virtual check-ins, and administer ServSafe Training & Exams. Inspire teams to embrace hospitality standards, inclusivity, and Saxbys culture. Ensure a safe, equitable work environment while developing leadership pipelines.

Plan community outreach to drive sales and integrate the café into campus life. Analyze weekly Three Pillars Reviews and monthly P&L statements to boost profitability. Aid Academic Platforms in partnership activities using cafe space.

Requirements

  • Mastery of Team Development, Community Leadership, and Financial Management
  • Experience owning cafe Profit and Loss statements
  • Ability to recruit, train, and develop cafe teams including ServSafe administration
  • Proven servant leadership in hospitality environments
  • Skill in building brand awareness and partnership cultivation on campuses
  • Capacity to foster safe, equitable, and inclusive work environments
  • Expertise in planning community outreach for sales growth
  • Proficiency analyzing operational reviews and financial statements

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute Grand Opening trainings for new cafes
  • Manage talent lifecycle through recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and coaching team members
  • Serve as a servant leader by providing tools, completing tasks alongside team, and offering direction
  • Develop and lead community relationships to integrate cafe into campus
  • Plan and execute community outreach initiatives to drive sales
  • Identify opportunities to meet sales goals and budgeted costs using operational tools
  • Analyze and manage Three Pillars Reviews weekly and Profit and Loss Statements monthly
  • Coordinate with Trainers for ongoing coaching, feedback, and leadership development
