About this role

Plan and manage the Starbucks Coffee Shop to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, compliance with corporate policies and regulations, while meeting financial goals. Responsible for short term planning and daily operations of the shop. Recommends promotional ideas and controls budgets for various areas.

Manage human resources to attract, retain and motivate employees through hiring, scheduling, training, development, coaching and counseling. Implement company programs and manage operations of the coffee shop to ensure compliance with SOPs, safety regulations and optimal guest service. Forecast, monitor and control budgets for labor, food, beverage costs to maximize revenue.

Requirements

  • More than two years of post high school education
  • Two to three full years of employment in a related position
  • Experience managing coffee shop or food and beverage outlets
  • Knowledge of SOPs and compliance with federal, state, local regulations
  • Ability to forecast and control budgets for labor, food and beverage costs
  • Skills in staff training, scheduling and performance reviews

Responsibilities

  • Manage human resources in outlets to attract, retain and motivate employees; hire, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach, counsel, and recommend discipline
  • Implement company programs and manage coffee shop operations to ensure compliance with SOPs, safety regulations and federal, state, local regulations
  • Forecast, implement, monitor, control and report on outlet budgets including labor, food, beverage costs, supplies and equipment
  • Respond to customer trends, needs, issues, comments and problems to ensure quality experience and enhance sales
  • Create, recommend and implement promotions, displays and ideas to capture in-house guests and local market
  • Monitor and control maintenance and sanitation of outlet areas and equipment to protect assets and ensure quality service
