It operates 'For Students, By Students' cafes on college campuses via the Experiential Learning Platform. The New Market Cafe Manager will spearhead the launch of the first cafe at University of Texas Arlington opening fall 2026.

You'll lead from recruiting and training through team tenure, managing shadow shifts, in-classroom training, virtual check-ins, and ServSafe exams. Inspire teams to embrace hospitality standards, inclusivity, and culture. Be the driving force behind the flagship cafe as a beloved community hub.

Focus on team development by providing tools, completing tasks alongside the team, and ensuring a safe, equitable, inclusive environment. Coordinate with trainers for ongoing coaching and build a pipeline of certified leaders. Instill servant leadership in daily operations.

Drive community leadership through outreach initiatives, relationship building, and supporting social impact missions. Manage financials by analyzing weekly Three Pillars Reviews and monthly P&L statements. Help shape the next generation of leaders while building your career.

Requirements

  • Experience leading cafe teams in hospitality settings
  • Proven ability in recruiting, hiring, and training cafe staff
  • Knowledge of ServSafe training and certification processes
  • Skills in financial analysis including P&L statements
  • Background in community outreach for retail food operations
  • Demonstrated servant leadership and team motivation
  • Familiarity with high-volume cafe operations on campuses
  • Commitment to inclusivity and hospitality standards

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute Grand Opening trainings for new cafes
  • Manage talent lifecycle through recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and coaching team members
  • Lead shadow shifts, in-classroom training, virtual check-ins, and administer ServSafe Training & Exams
  • Develop and lead community relationships to integrate the cafe into the community
  • Plan and execute community outreach initiatives to drive sales
  • Identify opportunities to meet sales goals and increase profitability
  • Analyze and manage Three Pillars Reviews weekly and Profit and Loss Statements monthly
  • Ensure a safe, equitable, and inclusive work environment for all team members
