About this role
Morrison Healthcare, a leader in healthcare food and nutrition services, is seeking an energetic, entrepreneurial Retail Manager to oversee café operations in a healthcare setting. This role is responsible for the successful retail and cafeteria operation, ensuring customer satisfaction and positive public relations through safe and efficient use of resources.
Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing daily administrative and operational tasks, managing all aspects of staff management, and handling financials such as budget development, forecasting, and financial reporting. The manager also maintains knowledge of marketplace trends, manages cost controls, and oversees sanitation and safety of the assigned unit.
As part of a nationwide team of over 31,000 associates, this manager acts as the direct liaison with the client and rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with the company's marketing and culinary team. Morrison serves more than 600 million meals annually and has been recognized as one of Modern Healthcare's Best Places to Work since 2012.

Requirements
- Three or more years supervisory experience in food service operations
- Supervisory experience in a healthcare, senior living, retirement, or related environment desirable
- Knowledge of retail, food, and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Leadership, management, and coaching skills
- Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office programs, email, the Internet, and other necessary computer programs
- ServSafe Certified
Responsibilities
- Oversees daily administrative and operational tasks
- Handles all aspects of staff management, including hiring and training hourly team members
- Manages all financials including budget development, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Maintains knowledge of the marketplace and trends
- Manages cost controls and controls expenditures for the account
- Oversees sanitation and safety of assigned unit(s)
- Purchases and manages inventory
- Acts as the direct liaison with the client
