The Assistant Coffee Shop Manager assists the Department Manager in presenting the freshest, most innovative products at competitive retail prices. Always maintain a positive company image with courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members.

Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all interactions. Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner, learning their names when possible. Assist by escorting to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading heavy items, and noting suggestions to enhance the shopping experience.

Handle food safely, ensure the work area is clean and neat, and review product for freshness. Anticipate daily product needs, prepare and replenish as necessary, check in deliveries, and maintain adequate supply. Work as a team with co-workers for customer satisfaction and a pleasant environment, supervising Coffee Shop Baristas.

Adhere to strict department and company guidelines on personal hygiene, dress, and policies. Report to District Store Director, Store Manager, and Coffee Shop Department Manager. Develop a growth mindset with partnerships, results-oriented approach, customer focus, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience
  • Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner and learn customers’ names
  • Assist customers by escorting to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading heavy items, and noting suggestions
  • Answer the telephone promptly, provide helpful service, and take product orders
  • Take customer orders at the counter
  • Handle food in a safe manner, ensure work area is clean, and review product for freshness
  • Anticipate product needs, prepare and replenish product, and develop production list
  • Check in product, run department registers, and remove trash in a timely manner
