At Hy-Vee, the Assistant Coffee Shop Manager assists the Department Manager with presenting the freshest, most innovative, and best quality products at competitive retail prices. Always maintains a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members. Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all interactions. Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, learns their names, and assists by escorting to products, securing out-of-reach items, or loading heavy items. Takes customer orders at the counter and answers the telephone promptly for helpful service including product orders.
Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment. Handles food in a safe manner, keeps the work area clean and neat, and reviews food for freshness. Supervises Coffee Shop Baristas while reporting to District Store Director, Store Manager, and Coffee Shop Department Manager.
Ensures adequate food supply is ready, anticipates daily product needs, prepares and replenishes as necessary, and checks in product. Runs department registers, receives payments, removes trash timely, and maintains strict adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines. Adheres to company policies, reports to work when scheduled and on time.
