The Coffee Shop Manager oversees daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, high-quality beverages and food, and efficient staff management. The Manager oversees daily operations including opening and closing procedures, schedules team members efficiently to meet business demands and labor budgets, and manages inventory levels and vendor relationships. They ensure equipment is maintained, handle cash management and daily deposits, address customer concerns promptly, and drive sales through active performance management.

The Manager recruits, hires, trains, and mentors baristas and staff, conducting performance reviews and providing ongoing coaching. They maintain clear communication with staff and vendors, and foster a collaborative team environment. The Manager also supports convenience store operations as needed, operating POS and assisting customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Previous management experience in a coffee shop or restaurant preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Basic math and computer skills for POS and reporting purposes.
  • Maintain a professional, positive attitude.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to multitask, problem solve, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily shop operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and manage performance of baristas and other staff members.
  • Schedule team members efficiently to meet business demands and labor budgets.
  • Manage inventory levels, place orders, and manage vendor relationships.
  • Ensure all beverages and food items meet company quality standards.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Manage cash handling and daily deposits.
  • Support convenience store operations as needed, including operating POS, assisting customers, stocking shelves, and maintaining cleanliness.
